During the Portage Summer Music in the Park series, produced jointly by Portage Live Entertainment, Portage Park Department and Portage Chamber of Commerce, we announced that at each of the Tuesday evening concerts from mid-July through August, we would be collecting donated items for Portage Food Pantry and Gabriel's Horn Homeless Shelter.

Many of those attending the concerts (200 to 300 per concert, 30 percent of whom came from outside Porter County!) generously gave cash contributions and 300 pounds of food items to the Portage Food Pantry and numerous household items to Gabriel's Horn. We are very proud of the generosity of the concert attendees and wish to pass along the praise and gratitude expressed by both of those organizations. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
