I'm an independent voter and believe our form of federal government was designed to provide representation for all citizens of states comprising the nation.
Unfortunately, too many people have been turned off as hateful divisions and professional politics corrupts the system. The loudest, angriest, most radical factions have hijacked the process by claiming to speak for the majority.
I was happy to support Dick Lugar because he demonstrated a true attempt at intelligent, balanced representation of all the citizens of the state of Indiana.
Now the majority of the minority who voted in the primary offer Richard Mourdock, who promotes his agenda as anti-bipartisan. In other words, he won’t represent me. That was not the intent of those who wrote the constitution of the United States. Our form of government cannot function without cooperation and compromise -- a status we see in what we have now. Take responsibility for assuring a functional government. Vote.
