The Second Amendment is outdated

Let me get this correct. There are complaints that the Second Amendment to the Constitution gives us a right to bear arms. That amendment was passed more than 200 years ago. We are now more than 200 years past that time in history. It was passed at a time people were moving to frontiers in which a gun was necessary to defend one's property. We have become a much larger population with Alaska being the new frontier.

Gun manufacturers also have moved on to guns with more accuracy and more readily available ammunition. There needs to be an amendment to the amendment passed on Dec. 15, 1791, or a replacement amendment. The NRA could possibly have its wish limited to single or double-shot weapons, but there should be a ban on guns used for other purposes than hunting and defense. As citizens, we should be defensive not offensive.
