It's alarming The Times editorial staff keeps printing Illiana propaganda. Have you gone to the meetings? Read the reports? Have you heard what Illiana project managers are now saying?

It's not an expressway. It's a tollway. It would amount to 2.2 percent improvement on Interstate 80/94 but thousands more vehicles on U.S. 41 and Interstate 65 per day. How can you rationalize the benefit? You say no tax money would be used. Are you serious? Tax money will buy out property owners, buy land under the road, improve and maintain I-65 and U.S. 41 to handle increased traffic.

Permanent jobs? IDOT admitted the Illiana was never intended to promote economic growth. It's for Illinois intermodal trucks. Elwood filed suit against their intermodal because that worked out so well. I don't know who's pocket you're getting your information from, but I can direct you to the facts.
