Rich Hecimovich's Feb. 3 letter about the updated "fish" proverb was so well written and so accurate is amazing that no one else hasn't written such a succinct theory of why the Democrats rule Lake County.

When the initiative for a better life is taken away and replaced by giveaways, it is so apparent that many expect the continuation of these benefits. It establishes generations of taking from a nanny state.

Socialism is the accepted form of living for those; hard work is for the "fools" who make it all possible by working and paying their taxes.
