Valparaiso firefighters have earned my respect

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend my first picnic in the park with the Valparaiso Fire Department.

The picnic was well organized. Everyone seemed to know where to go, and what to do. Putting the cooked food at one picnic table was a great idea. Everyone I talked to liked this idea.

I was able to talk to several of the firefighters and was elated with the answers I received. They were well informed, and very interesting to talk to. Not only were they well informed, but courteous, and eager to talk to the public.

I noticed the firefighters spread out in the crowd and talked to the public rather than stand around in a group and talk among themselves.

My hat is off to the Valparaiso Fire Department. They do a great job. God bless, and stay safe.
