With the latest federal subpoenas to Lake County Surveyor George Van Til's employees, and with the scope of the investigation including an employee who works with the Lake County Drainage Board, I think we can see where all this is going.

After all, we now know Van Til raises funds from drainage board contractors. A quick look at Gerry Scheub's campaign finance reports online shows he  is raising funds from these very same contractors.

Put two and two together, and you can figure out what the FBI is looking for.

It is time for Van Til to withdraw from the surveyor race, resign from his office and save Lake County. Lake County deserves so much more than Van Til. It's time for this crony politician to go.
