The people of Portage Township have a choice that will affect their child's education for years to come. This November, two School Board seats are up for election, and I am proud to support my father, David Czilli, for the Third District seat.
Dad has been a Portage police officer for the past 22 years. He is a 1987 graduate of Portage and has a degree in criminal justice for Vincennes University. As a 32-year resident of Portage, he has seen the best and worst of the city and feels he can make a difference.
Dad wants to ensure that every child and staff member are safe in their schools, receiving the support they deserve and that all teachers that are hired are highly qualified.
My father has been nothing but supportive in my life and the many community programs and boards I am involved in. I see absolutely no reason why the School Board would be any different.
