Voters put separatism, division, hatred asunder

Whew, the campaigning is over. America was subjected to unnatural gas that permeated to every corner of this nation. Zealots came out of the woodwork promoting division, separatism and hatred. Thank our lucky stars that the majority of the voters saw right through this demagoguery.

Imagine if Mitt Romney had won. The likes of Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Rush Limbaugh, Donald Trump, Michelle Bachman, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity would have had a say so at the White House. I shuddered at that possibility.

Yet, many were taken in by their rhetoric. They overlooked how Gov. Chris Christie of Massachusetts received Barack Obama with open arms after hurricane Sandy devasted the East Coast. They should listen to Gov. Bobby Jindal, who said the GOP should stop being the party of dumb.

They did not notice the faces of America -- brown, black, white, yellow and red -- at the Democratic National Convention.

We are in this together whether you like it or not.
