Global warming? What else could we expect? Do you ever think about how many billions of acres of blacktop we have covered our land with? Or how many of our precious trees we have cut down to sell for lumber or sell to other nations? Or make room for more roads?

A look at any parking lot for businesses or even private homes should convince anyone we are responsible for global warming. It is our fault. Don't believe me? Just take your shoes off and walk on a blacktop on an 80-degree day. Blacktop soaks up heat like a sponge.

As an 89-year-old, I have seen the days when we had winters that were colder than now, and roads were made of concrete and gravel.
