We deserve the kind of government we elect

We are a sorry mess, many of us 99 percenters, who find ourselves at the bottom of capitalism's junk heap. And so many of us are bamboozled by the promise of the Republican/Tea Party intention to "fix things."

Their promise is to infuse the top 1 percent to 2 percent with continued tax cuts that they've been receiving since the Iraq-War, cuts passed by George W. Bush early in his administration. Somehow that money is to trickle down to the rest of us in the form of reinvestment in new jobs.

Next, they want to cut entitlement programs: Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

And we will again undoubtedly vote against our own interests and vote for those wealthy legislators who have greater regard for their own bottom line than for our welfare. We deserve the kind of government we elect.
