On a recent popularity poll, Congress ranks slightly below cockroaches. But whose fault is this really? Don’t point to John Boehner or Harry Reid – the fault is yours and mine.

Whether it’s a government shutdown, 1.5 percent county income tax or representatives walking off the job, we elected these people. We are the bosses, and we have hired these clowns with our votes. And no matter how stupidly they behave, our votes allow them to continue slacking on the job, grabbing special perks for themselves, and taxing us into the poor house.

When we’re really tired of business as usual, we’ll stop voting for business as usual.
