My husband and I would like to state our strong belief that HJR-3 should not be approved by our state Legislature. The proposed amendment would negatively impact thousands of families throughout Indiana.

I attended a recent meeting with state Rep. Ed Soliday and Sen. Ed Charbonneau. Soliday stated only 17 percent of the people polled thought this should be taking up the Legislature's time. He stated that in five years the Supreme Court would decide this issue.

Employers like Eli Lilly, Cummins and IU as well as the voters are against this amendment.
