Wealthy often balk at idea of paying their fair share

Charles L. Lambert of Valparaiso recently suggested the people who voted for Barack Obama are stupid, clueless when it comes to the dire state of our economy, live on welfare and get food stamps. It's nonsense.

So why is Lambert so incensed with Obama and his supporters? Let me guess. He is most likely a fairly well-to-do Republican who watches every dime. If Obama succeeds in getting the current tax structure changed, the wealthier might have to part with a few more dollars.

Historically, most people who are financially more-than-secure are often the very ones who balk at the idea of paying their fair share. I'm thinking that Lambert is one of these people.

If he has to pay more taxes, it will be because of all you stupid people who cashed your welfare check, went to the grocery store with your food stamps and then were bold enough to go and vote, too. What were you thinking?
