What controls would be in place for income tax?

I have been following the new tax laws that were initiated by the last meeting of the Indiana legislature. I am a citizen of Lake County. My main concern is who is going to oversee the way the tax money is spent.

I am very concerned since there are so many questions of the politics in Nothwest Indiana and I would like to see the state to really not so much control the distribution and spending but to make sure the money of the new tax income is used in a rightful way.

I am sure I am not the only person in Lake County who has this feeling.

The Lake County Council must at least quarterly be publicly accountable for the use of the new tax.

I realize there are many needs to be addressed; however, with all the wasteful spending that goes on I feel there must be checks and balances so everyone in Lake County will benefit from the new tax hike.
