What keeps Americans from rioting over debt?

So, what is the big deal about Syria poisoning their people? Our government has been doing it for 30 or more years by putting fluoride in our drinking water and telling us it is good for our teeth. Well, after many years they admitted it actually was bad for them.

So, what did they do about it?  Nothing. Why nothing? Because the real reason was to alter our minds and give us a feeling of hopelessness. About doing anything about it. They got the news from a Russian defector telling how they used it to calm down prisoners so they would not riot.

We used to have riots when folks were not happy about how the government was spending too much on foolish ways, like $1 million-a-mile trails for bicycles when we are $16 trillion in debt and folks are losing their homes because of high taxes.
