Why political candidates should be vetted

January 30, 2012 12:00 am

Where were the media three years ago?

With all the questions and investigations that the current political hopefuls are going through, we should get a pretty good picture of what we can expect out of the contenders who are left.

With the election date coming at us faster than a speeding train, the media are looking for all the negative info on the Republican nominees they can find.

"Nightline" aired an interview with Newt's ex-wife two days before the upcoming GOP's South Carolina primary. If there is anyone who would know what a person is like, it would be a person such as an "ex", that could shed some light on someone's past.
