Things are beginning to look pretty homey within the framed in walls and ongoing construction of the brand new Bickford Senior Living community in Crown Point. And while pictures still remain to be hung and carpet to be laid, the love that will envelop the community’s growing list of new residents can already be felt.
“We’re extremely pleased to add this new community to the Bickford Family,” explains Carrie Tatroe, Opening Specialist for Bickford Senior Living. “Being able to establish a footprint in Indiana has been a goal of ours and we look forward to future growth within the state.”
Opening in late summer of 2013, Bickford Assisted Living & Memory Care of Crown Point is currently taking reservations and planning for a grand opening celebration like no other. Located just 40 miles from the heart of Chicago, the new branch will include a total of 58 apartments and provide similar services to Bickford’s existing portfolio of 45 existing premier Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care branches in seven Midwestern states and Georgia.
“I have been thrilled to see the number of pro-active seniors within this community who have stopped by our informational trailer, willing to see if Bickford might be a good match for them and their individual situation,” explains Tatroe, who celebrated the groundbreaking for the new community during a special tree planting ceremony this past fall. “No one wants to come here in a crisis situation, such as being discharged from a hospital and having to find somewhere to live the next day for continuing care. It’s about offering the opportunity to age with choice, from senior living to home health to hospice, without ever diminishing the high level of care…wherever life might lead them. It’s important to plan for these times in your life, and I love helping people make those sorts of decisions.”
Before opening, prospective residents can take advantages of the money saving benefits of the Founder’s Club, which allows families to sign up and begin to accumulate money to put towards their rent. “There are a number of opportunities that interested people can take advantage of, before we even officially open our doors,” explains Tatroe. “We are even offering to pay for packing and moving expenses for our new residents if they sign up soon.”
