HAMMOND | The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana will be hosting its Second Saturday Family Science Program on March 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event’s cost is $15 per person and will include a mini mission, a laser light show and a planetarium show.

The laser light show will be Laser Country and features laser art set to music of country favorites like Garth Brooks, The Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, Johnny Cash and more.

The March planetarium show will be Spring Sky Show and Saturn: Jewel of the Heavens. Attendees will find out what to look for in the night sky on the upcoming spring evenings, and then learn about the mysterious planet Saturn and its many rings, moons and storms.

Those not wishing to participate in the mini mission may purchase tickets to either the laser show or planetarium show at $5 for adults or $3 for children. A special package including both shows is $8 for adults and $5 for children.

Individual planetarium shows begin at 3:15 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. Individual laser shows begin at 4:10 p.m. and 6 p.m.
