INDIANAPOLIS | Region football fans still hankering for the playoff game that won't be played at Soldier Field this weekend need only head two hours south on Interstate 65 on Saturday to catch some postseason NFL action, in person and indoors.
More than 6,000 tickets remain for the 3:30 p.m. region time AFC wildcard match-up between the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ticket prices range from $65 to $155 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, over the phone at (800) 745-3000 or in person at Ticketmaster retail outlets and the Lucas Oil Stadium box office.
Larry Hall, Colts vice president of ticket operations, said even though he realizes most Northwest Indiana residents root for the Chicago Bears, all are welcome at Colts games.
"We have one of the best environments to see a game," Hall said. "Our fans are enthusiastic, but they're good sports."
The 11-5 Colts, led by quarterback Andrew Luck, did not lose a single division game en route to their AFC South title this season. The team only has missed the playoffs once (2011) in the past 11 years.
