INDIANAPOLIS | Gov. Mitch Daniels will be the guest of faux conservative pundit Stephen Colbert at 10:30 p.m. region time Thursday on Comedy Central's "Colbert Report" television program.
Indiana's Republican governor is expected to promote the paperback edition of his 2011 book, "Keeping the Republic," during the show.
However, Colbert interviews -- particularly with politicians -- tend to veer dramatically from their original purposes as Colbert tries to "nail" his guests with "superior," often faulty, logic.
Daniels defended his book's prescriptions for America during a confrontational September 2011 interview with Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show."
