Kids are busy, too, and have many electronic distractions to keep them from physical fitness. What are some ways to get your kids moving?

1. Include your kids in your workout. You might be surprised how much they can do, even at young ages. Planks, situps, squats and lunges are good exercises for kids. For them, it's fun to do what their parents are doing.

2. Dance! Dancing can burn more than 400 calories per hour. Kids won't even know it's exercise; just turn up some tunes and have a dance party in your living room.

3. Go to the mall. Walking the mall can be a serious workout if you do it right. Park at the opposite end of where you need to go, then walk the entire mall, upper and lower levels. (Avoid Cinnabon at all costs.)

4. Do fitness challenges together. Find 30-day challenges online and do them with your older kids. The competition and accountability will keep you both going.
