DYER | Franciscan St. Margaret Health hospital in Dyer will host the next meeting of the St. Michael Church – Schererville Caregiver Support Group at 2 p.m. Jan. 20.

Guest speaker Mark Zaranski, owner of East Wind Acupuncture in Highland, will discuss alternative wellness and health treatments.

The support group addresses such issues as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, cancer, stroke or other adult care responsibilities and is open to family and friends seeking compassion and information sharing.

It is affiliated with Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, which provides a 24-hour hotline, grants and specialty workshops, which take place at the Lake County Library’s main branch in Merrillville.
