HARVEY | Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey is ranked in the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation for orthopedic services, according to the American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2013: Healthgrades Report to the Nation.
The report evaluates how approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide performed on risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for almost 30 of the most common conditions treated and procedures performed from 2009 through 2011, according to a news release.
“The commitment that Ingalls has made to providing quality health care is evidenced by the numerous recognitions we have received for excellence in patient care,” stated Kurt Johnson, Ingalls Health System president and CEO. “Offering unmatched clinically superior services at sites and services across the south suburbs continues to be our top priority.”
Ingalls also is a recipient of the Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award for two years in a row, is among the top 10 hospitals in Illinois for Overall Orthopedic Services for two years in a row, is ranked the No. 2 orthopedic hospital in Illinois and was named one of the 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery in the nation, the release stated.
