When I think of an awesome nurse the first name that comes to mind is Melinda Jones-Saah. Nursing, in my opinion, is a much higher spiritual calling than merely a profession. When I think of values Melinda lives it's family values, happiness, sense of accomplishment, honesty, responsibility, intellect, human dignity, equality and prevention of suffering. Melinda is compassionate, empathetic, selfless, self-aware , and is technically strong with a thrist for knowledge. She's that person who does for others without a thought of her own. The love of her profession is shown in more ways than one. Hands down I nominate Melinda Jones-Saah as one of the best nurses a person could ask for. Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus is privilege to have such an employee. – Serena Durr-Jones
My father was admitted to the ICU. He was having breathing problems. This young lady was a nurse on the unit. On the days that she cared for him, I felt at ease. She was kind, patient, and very friendly. She has a smile worth a million bucks! I had always said that I would never go back to the hospital in Gary. But, after this experience, I will give Methodist another try! – Mrs. Anonymous
I have had two family members admitted to the ICU at this facility. Each time I had the honor of this nurse to take care of my loved ones. She is nice, caring and compassionate. I hope that Methodist knows that they need more professional nurses such as her to help the Gary community believe in the hospital again.
One the most caring sincere nurses I've meet. She goes beyond the norm for patients, their families and her coworkers. It is no doubt in my mind she is the kind if nurse we would all love taking care of us or our family members. Very compassionate, sympathetic to individual situations and genuinely loves what she does. This young lady brings an entire new meaning to healthcare and a passion to comfort the sick and their families. Simply the best. Methodist should be proud to have employed her. – Rhonda McClendon
