Methodist Hospitals will host its annual spring spa day to provide women who are being treated for cancer or who have survived cancer a day of pampering, empowerment and health education. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral and Banquet Hall, 9600 Broadway in Crown Point.
This free event is for all women who currently are being treated for any type of cancer or are cancer survivors. The featured guest is Pamela Kozy, director of Heart in Hand Natural Health Center in Highland. She will speak about natural ways to relieve stress with aromatherapy, guided imagery and meditation. There will two breakout sessions, one at 10 a.m. and one at 11 a.m.
The following activities will be offered at this year’s event: chair and hand massages, chair yoga, Reiki therapy, express manicures and facials, bone density screenings and breast health education, a continental breakfast buffet, vendor booths and raffles. Free valet parking will be offered.
