The bouquet has been tossed, the cake has been devoured, the guests have gone home. And you and your new spouse are in desperate need of some alone time! Any honeymoon will serve this purpose, but if you’re looking for maximum privacy, you’ll want to stay at one of these resorts, where the rest of the world will easily fade away.

Taveuni Palms

Fiji Islands

This five-star resort has been rated by as one of the Most Luxurious Honeymoon Destinations. Aside from its spectacular location—highlighted by white sand beaches, lush vegetation and world-class diving and snorkeling—the resort offers a unique honeymoon special. Couples can enjoy candlelit dinners on the beach, their own private pool, twin outdoor showers off of the master suite, and a private chef—plus a much-needed complimentary spa treatment! Another perk? Taveuni Island is one of the first landmasses in the world to see the sun rise. Rates start at $995 per day per couple.

Katahani Phuket Beach Resort

Phuket, Thailand

Every guest room and suite at this resort comes with its own private balcony or terrace, overlooking the ocean, pools or tropical gardens. Every interior space has been recently renovated, in a contemporary Thai style that implements natural elements and a feeling of utter relaxation. Guests also are offered a number of ways to relax here, with six nature-inspired pools (two of which have a saltwater treatment), three Jacuzzis, and the luxury Tew Son Spa. Those who prefer a more active getaway will find plenty to do here. The resort hosts two fitness centers, a dive shop, two tennis courts, a number of organized athletic activities, and world-class golf courses located less than 30 minutes away. There are 479 total low-rise guest rooms and suites. Rates range from $120 to $885 per person per night.

Las Alamandas

Mexico’s Pacific Coast

This resort features six private villas—accommodating a maximum of 30 guests—so booking ahead of time is vital. Each villa is a private estate, built with large Mexican tile baths, private terraces and full-sized living/dining areas. The décor here reflects Mexico’s bright and festive culture, with a sophisticated combination of jewel-like colors. (Think canary yellow and hot pink.) Honeymooners will appreciate the resort’s full-service restaurant, art gallery and uber-cool rooftop lounge bar. A 60-foot freshwater pool is situated alongside the ocean, and there are several sports activities offered. Las Alamandas offers a special honeymoon package that starts at an affordable $3,100 per couple.
