The Lighthouse Restaurant and Banquets prides itself by uniquely tailoring special occasions and serving only the finest selection of fresh entrees, appetizers and more its banquet manager Maureen Allen says.

She says this level of perfection has been in place since the Lighthouse opened in 2009.

But the biggest draw according to Assistant to Banquet Sales Cindy Daugherty and Allen - its view.

"To my knowledge we're the only lakeside venue in the area," Daugherty says. "We're such a great addition to the community."

The restaurant and its second floor, handicap accessible banquet facility are surrounded by windows looking out on the shores of Cedar Lake. Inside boasts a modern, nautical backdrop that these ladies say is pleasing to both a feminine and masculine style.

The banquet facility currently seats 200. However, the Lighthouse is expanding. The expansion will be completed by the end of this summer and will include seating for an additional 50 guests as well as an outdoor pavilion/gazebo for waterfront ceremonies, cocktail hours, etc.

Ceremonies can held on for an additional rental fee which includes chairs, setup and tear down.

Allen says they are excited about having the ability to accommodate larger weddings in the near future.

Some additional amenities include: chocolate fountains, handmade appetizers as well as additional customizable options.

The banquet staff welcomes any idea to help make a couples' event one-of-a-kind.

"No idea is too crazy," Allen explains. "We want to make their dreams come true and we provide a gorgeous sunset, free of charge."
