Welcome to “Starcast” – an exciting look into what the Cosmos has in store for the 12 sun-signs. Let’s look heavenward and see just what’s going on in our solar system.

Well, it seems to happen so frequently, but here it is, again! A New Moon (new beginnings – when the Sun and the Moon are in the same sun-sign) is taking place today, Friday, October 4, 2013 at 8:35 p.m. (ET) in the lovely and quietly domineering sun-sign of Libra, the Balancing Scales. That’s good, for every 28 to 31 days, the Sun’s sphere of influence (on all human beings, everywhere) shifts from one sun-sign to the next. And in the process, assumes the qualities of that New Moon sun-sign; in this instance, it’s the outgoing and friendly, yet oddly mysterious Libra. It’s an all-inclusive influence that continues 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And it never stops – even when you’re asleep or not consciously thinking about it.

Noteworthy: A powerful force field will exist, one that unfolds favorably over the next 10 to 12 days. And since everyone (on Earth) has Libra, the Balancing Scales, ruling one of the twelve houses within their birth chart, everyone is directly affected by whatever planetary activity takes place within a particular sun-sign. Ruled by the planet, Venus (love, relationships, and creativity), Libra is engaging, yet strangely fearless. Never to be treated lightly; worse, ignored – the New Moon signifies a priceless time in which to change things for the better; to move situations and conditions forward; and quite possibly, to place outside of your Life whatever and/or whomever is holding you back.

Look at a numerical (1 through 12) clock. That’s your birth chart. And each pie-shaped wedge (8 to 7 o’clock, for example) is a house – an area of activity (love, money – in every currency imaginable – work, and so on) in your existence, one of which Libra, the Balancing Scale, governs. So, during this influence (the New Moon in Libra), pace yourself – mentally, emotionally, physically, financially, and spiritually. And as always, keep your thoughts, optimistic; your actions, focused and strong.

Here’s how the New Moon (new starts) in Libra, the Balancing Scales, affects the 12 sun-signs within the 12 houses of the zodiac wheel.

ARIES March 21-April 19

Your 7th House: Alliances, Agreements; even, the desired Contract. The plan (on your part) is to structure several viable agreements. Excellent! For you’re no longer uncertain about taking the all-important next step in close relationships. SIDESTEP being too quiet for current conditions.

TAURUS April 20-May 20

Your 6th House: The Work Scene, Its Content, and Its Direction. It’s necessary, always, for you to advance at your own pace, which is slow and steady. And this New Moon is no exception. So, stay true to your own style and this can be a time of great success. SIDESTEP stopping.

GEMINI May 21-June 21

Your 5th House: Close Relationships and Creativity. It’s amazing, but with your brand of vivaciousness, you can celebrate Halloween as if it were Valentine’s Day. With the emphasis now on Love, could anything be sweeter? SIDESTEP an uncharacteristic refusal to be totally involved.

CANCER June 22-July 22

Your 4th House: Base-of-Operations – where-you-live and where-you-work. You now add your deft touch of balance (the hallmark of Libra in action) to a current situation. And where there was discord, there’s now a workable solution. SIDESTEP hiding – when your presence is vital.

LEO July 23-August 22

Your 3rd House: Communications – which includes calls, e-mails, text messages, and meetings – are highlighted. This is a good time of the year for you. But you must start – as well as restart – all important projects. SIDESTEP not following through on what you’re now responsible for.

VIRGO August 23-September 22

Your 2nd House: Personal Income. Your financial affairs always have your attention, especially now as you work closely with matters-at-hand. Strive to bring everything into a new and revised state of balance. It works! SIDESTEP allowing inactivity – mental or physical – to dominate.

LIBRA September 23-October 22

Your 1st House: Personal Endeavors. Not the casual and easy-going soul that you show to the world, you can now slow down, for this is the start of your personal New Year. And some really marvelous developments are about to appear. SIDESTEP being late – without a very good reason.

SCORPIO October 23-November 21

Your 12th House: Confidential Matters and Secret Strategy-Planning Sessions. Of course, Venus, the Goddess of Love (and yes! Intrigue) dwells in your 12th house of secret strategies. That is absolutely perfect! SIDESTEP allowing discouragement to slyly infiltrate your latest efforts.

SAGITTARIUS November 22-December 21

Your 11th House: Your Secret Agenda – which contains the desires-of-your-heart. Know what you really want, before you attempt to get it. It’s possible to obtain things now, but they’re not refundable. Keep this fact in mind. SIDESTEP allowing current situations to be openly discussed.

CAPRICORN December 22-January 19

Your 10th House: Your Career and Its Advancement. Always a major time for you, move ahead quietly. You’re in the midst of a career pitch – and what a pitch it is! And on balance (a Libra favorite), it’s looking pretty good. SIDESTEP not being your on-time and very reliable self.

AQUARIUS January 20-February 18

Your 9th House: People, Plans, and Projects – near and at a distance. Included is long-distance (of the body/of the mind) travel. Know that new opportunities abound, so don’t hesitate to initiate those ideas that have lived in your imagination. SIDESTEP allowing uncertainty to exist.

PISCES February 19-March 20

Your 8th House: Revitalization – mental, emotional, physical, financial, spiritual. It can be done; you can come back to the center of your being – whole and strong. Do not stop; do not freeze. Going forward, gently, is the key. SIDESTEP not being aware of the opportunities close by.
