Now celebrating its 29th year, the Marquette West Rotary — proud to have risen over $500,000 for local nonprofits in its history — is hosting its annual seafood fest Thursday, August 23 through Saturday, August 25.
The free-to-public seafood extravaganza that the festival has made its namesake will take place on the 25th. Starting at noon, the community will be treated to the music of five local bands, including Shotgun Kelli and Vent. The seafood menu is a flat $25 fee, and includes whole fresh lobster, crab legs, shrimp and numerous side dishes.
Other events include the August 24 performance of Pink Floyd tribute band Project Pink, who will be bringing with them a full light show, as well as opening band Sukker Punch. Seating is limited to the event, but lawn chairs are welcome.
The most luxurious event of the weekend is the Waterfront Gala. For $60 a person, a steak and seafood dinner is offered, as well as a string quartet and silent auction.
