St. James Manor and Villas, 1251 E. Richton Rd.,in Crete, Illinois is pleased announce that they will be hosting a cooking show, “Spring from the Farm” with celebrated daily food and entertainment newspaper columnist and author Philip Potempa on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Potempa, celebrated columnist for The Times of Northwest Indiana and Illinois, will be the guest chef. He recently published his third book, and has worked with such renowned chefs as Emeril Lagasse and Paula Deen. Philip is also an adjunct instructor at both Valparaiso University and Purdue University North Central.

This cooking show is free to attend and will feature some of Potempa’s noted recipes, cooking tips and door prizes. Complimentary spring themed refreshments will be served.
