Saturday, April 20, 2013, Lake County, IN. – Calling all little princesses in Northwest Indiana! Mommies, if an afternoon of princesses and dollies are your cup of tea, then you won’t want to miss St. Jude House’s annual Mommy, Dolly & Me Spring Tea.

St. Jude House is gearing up for their annual Spring Tea fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, April 20th at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN. The event draws in several hundred mommies, their daughters, and dollies. Grandmothers, aunts and girlfriends also join in the fun. This year’s theme is centered on a princess theme and guests can expect a visit from Cinderella, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty. The full-costumed storybook character actresses are courtesy of Looking Glass Entertainment. All little princesses will be crowned with a tiara and will receive a party bag filled with goodies fit for a queen. Families can capture the moment by purchasing a photo package sponsored by Edda Taylor Photographie & Bill Eaton. All photo purchases benefit St. Jude House.

St. Jude House is a Family Violence Prevention Center and Shelter providing comprehensive residential and non-residential services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. “The Spring Tea, in addition to our other annual fundraisers, helps us to continue to provide safety, shelter and support services to women and their dependent children for free. Our community needs our services as we strive to help victims overcome the effects of catastrophic violence in their lives,” said Mary E. Govert, Executive Director – St. Jude House.

Govert said last year’s event was a sold out and encourages guests to make their reservations early. Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. Lunch and dessert is included. Vendors will be on site, and as well as raffles for children and adults. A favorite featured attraction is the annual American Girl Doll Raffle – three dolls will be raffled and one will be included in the seed raffle. This year St. Jude House has included a Cash Raffle for $300, $200 and $100 prizes. Tickets for the Cash Raffle and American Girl Doll Raffle will be sold in advance and during the event.
