Saturday, September 7, Red Obsession, a documentary about the history and evolving French wine industry opens at the Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 North State in Chicago. Russell Crowe narrates the film which traces the industry starting with French Bordeaux standard continuing through the emergence of a growing modern Chinese market in the 21st century. Featuring interviews with collectors, connoisseurs, and winemakers, the film presents an eye-opening exploration of the complexities and unpredictability of the global market and the economic effects and influence of the voracious wine-obsessed collectors of China. For better or worse, Bordeaux is hitching itself to this new, infinitely wealthy client.
Red Obsession will open in theaters in Chicago on September 7, with a New York release on September 6, a Los Angeles release on September 13, and followed by additional select markets across the U.S.. FilmBuff will release the film on September 6 in North America on all leading On Demand platforms including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Comcast, DirecTV, Time Warner Cable, YouTube, XBOX, Sony Playstation, Cinemanow and Vudu.

Flatiron Steak Frites with bacon blue cheese butter 10 oz, cut cooked to order, served with vegetable du jour and Signature fries.
Quarter Wedge Salad with crumbbled blue cheese, bacon, red onion and blue cheese dressing.
