Well, the temperatures have become downright frigid, the leaves are well on their way off the trees, and Halloween is almost here. The one good thing about this is that finally, due to the frost, my allergies have largely stopped attacking me from within.
Well, two good things. Because this weekend, the wineries of Southwest Michigan are holding some enticing events - some unique to fall, and some the last in a series that has stretched on since summer.
This Saturday, Oct. 26, Round Barn Winery is hosting "Happy Hallo-wine," a curated tasting engineered to bring out the best of the wine's fall flavors. They are also serving seasonal cocktails for non-wine lovers. And best of all, their costume contest can score you free drinks.
Several other vineyards, including Gravity Vineyards, are wrapping up their summer concert series, with one last chance to sip wine and relax to the beat in the great outdoors.
And finally, the beautiful grounds of Tabor Hill winery promise a peek at the last—and best—bits of fall color anywhere.
