An Environmental Party and Roan & Black opening on Saturday in Michigan and then back to Merrillville for a splendid, even intimidating buffet at Innsbrook Country Club in Merrillville. The weather looks divine.

The Environmental Party on Saturday: My friend Elle Hook, along with her friends at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks is hosting a party to support and celebrate the efforts of the Alliance for the Great Lakes. In addition to music, a raffle and silent auction there will also be Fashion Performance Art with models from Earthly Designs, food and, of course, cocktail creations put together by the famous drink mixologists at Journeyman. The festivities start at 5 pm (CT), that would be 6 pm (ET)

Roan & Black Introduces Six Artists in Saugatuck: The newest, hottest Saturday night out includes this five-star gallery at 3315 Blue Star Highway in Saugatuck. Oil, paper, clay and mixed media are the specialties on display and the artists will discuss how structures inspire their work.

The Brunch on Easter Sunday: The weather is promising enough that I’m thinking about a picture hat this year when my family gathers at Innsbrook for the inevitable overeating. The buffet there is impossible to resist, carving stations, fresh pasta, seafood, desserts, omelets made to order. Plus there is little guilt when you see all your friends and neighbors there trying a bite of everything irresistible as well. Have a good one!
