McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants announced this week that veterans will be treated to a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée from a special McCormick & Schmick’s menu on November 11th.

The restaurant says that veterans will be able to choose a single complimentary lunch or dinner entrée, including options such as Buttermilk Fried Shrimp, Cedar Planked Salmon, Shrimp Linguini, Parmesan Chicken, Tender Beef Medallions and Scampi, Fish and Chips and Romano Chicken Chopped Salad among others.

McCormick & Schmick's have two downtown Chicago locations at 1 E. Wacker and 41 E. Chestnut, in fact the person I spoke with at the Wacker Dr. location said she did not know of any McCormick & Schmick's that were not participating in the program.  Reservations are highly encouraged for Veterans Day, as tables fill up quickly. Guests can easily make their reservations online through the restaurant’s website at

The special menu will be available to veterans who have been honorably discharged from the Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy or Coast Guard. Verification of service is required.

McCormick & Schmick’s has recognized veterans with a special event every year since 1999. The program has been praised by former President George W. Bush and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as a number of state veterans departments and the National Restaurant Association.
