Red carpet treatment at Ciao Bella, movie night at Vickers with Philomena and Inside Llewyn Davis and Mardi Gras jazz brunch with Bunny Fisher and David Lamm at the Marina Grand.

Hold the Popcorn at Ciao Bella: In inventive star-studded menu awaits at Ciao Bella, Italian bistro on beginning Sunday at 6 pm with a red carpet greeting featuring Mionetto Prosecco. Followed by dinner beginning at 7 pm with chilled shrimp (Robert DeNiro shrimp) with a cilantro mousse and pineapple served with crostini paired with Coppola Diamond Sauvignon Blanc, followed by chilled chicken salad with flatbread named for Daniel Day-Lewis and Coppola Director’s Chardonnay. Pasta course is named for Halle Berry, but her beef-stuffed shells served with Bolognese sauce and Coppola Director’s Cut Pinot Noir probably do not reference how many of these the buff actress can eat --- at least before the Oscar ceremony. Entrée beef brisket is named for Tom Hanks and has another Coppola Director’s Cut selection as the pair. And finally a classic, vintage dessert of cinnamon mascarpone stuffed strawberries with chocolate sauce named for Susan Sarandon and paired with Mionetto Moscato. The bargain fee for this evening of fine food, wine and entertainment is just $69 and includes tax and tip. Do you realize what they are paying for this in LA?

Earlier in the Day a Mardi Gras Jazz Brunch in NB: The Marina Grand Resort will host a jazz brunch featuring vocalist Bunny Fisher and pianist David Lahm served up between a menu full of New Orleans favorites---and you know what we mean includes beignets, jambalaya, many choice pork incarnations and hot sauce on the side.

Saturday Night is Swingin’ in Three Oaks: Cajun cuisine at the town’s 6th Annual Mardi Gras Party at the American Legion post, plus a band for $15. Saturday March 1, also happens to be a Movie Night at the Vickers Theatre now showing Academy-Award nominated Philomena at 3pm (ET) and 9pm (ET) and Inside Llewyn Davis at 6pm (ET). The Vickers will not have any movies after Philomena at 3 pm on Sunday in honor of the Academy Awards.
