2017 Letters to the editor stock

If the U.S. Supreme Court affirms that industry and corporations are "people" with the Citizens United decision, then they can expect tax rates to be permanently reduced from 35 percent to 20 percent with the passage of the Republican tax plan.

It would seem reasonable that the American people should also be included in a big tax cut. The only problem is how much money will be available to pay for a border wall, a 10 percent military spending increase, golf outings to private clubs and the lodging at and transportation to a winter White House, a summer White House, and of course THE White House.
