2017 Letters to the editor stock

Am I seeing more outdoor Christmas decorations this year? Does the White House endorsement of saying “Merry Christmas” play a part?

Is the increased celebratory nature of this Christmas from a rebirth of hope? While you might not agree with what the POTUS says or does — and I don’t agree with everything — one has to admit we’ve moved away from “business as usual” in D.C., New York and Hollywood.

Despite Pope Francis and other head-of-state protestations, POTUS recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The stock market hit 24,000.

Liberal media denigration, mistakes and meltdowns are high; conservatives are standing tall again. Is there a force — some might say God — behind the scenes?

Christians see the incarnation at Christmas — God becoming man — as a time to celebrate an extraordinary event in a corrupt world. Maybe that pattern is what has caused more people to decorate and celebrate.
