Letters to the editor stock

Republicans in Congress tried to overthrow the Affordable Care Act 50 or more times during the last eight years. Not once did they try to improve on it or make adjustments to it to make it suitable for everyone.

The opposition to President Barack Obama's presidency was overwhelmingly biased against anything he did. We suffered from the inaction of Republicans.

As a retiree, my wife and I pay $680 a month and are subsidized by my former employer. If it weren't subsidized, it would be $1,200 a month.

To be fair, Americans should have the opportunity to have the same health care as our congressmen have. There should not be a tier system — one plan for all of us.
