2017 Letters to the editor stock

It was late at night on Christmas Eve in the late 1980s. My dad, my two brothers and I were driving on our way home to Monticello from the airport in Chicago when the car broke down. We pulled alongside the road, not knowing what we were going to do, far from home, on Christmas Eve night. Thanks be to God for the angel who God sent us.

His name was Chris, and he was from Crown Point. He stopped to offer his help and drove us all the way to Monticello. I have not forgotten of that Christmas miracle and would like to say "thank you" to that man.

May God bless you in his abundance in return for your goodness and kindness. Thank you!
