2017 Letters to the editor stock

President Donald Trump’s first year in office was an unappreciated success. Vindictive Democrats, a hostile media, liberal judges and disloyal Republicans wanted him to fail, but look at the record:

  • Americans have more jobs, wealth and hope.
  • Black unemployment has dropped to 6.8 percent, and fewer regulations promise an era of continued job creation. Trump signed the Republican sponsored tax bill that rewards work and improves America’s competitiveness in the world.
  • Constitutionalists like Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch are now in position to restore respect for America’s legal system, and the president is determined to fix a broken immigration policy.
  • Trump supported the coalition that destroyed the brutal ISIS caliphate and put America on the side of democracy in Iran and Israel.

Trump has been a good deal for America.
