When John and Johanna Hack and their eight children arrived in a wagon in the wilderness of Northwest Indiana in 1837, a town named St. John was born.

Cows, a history symbol in Chicago because of "the Great Fire," are prized mascots at Lincoln Park Zoo in the farm display area and will be center stage Tuesday, July 24, 2012, for a 175th Anniversary Tribute to the Windy City at the zoo using the theme "Chi-Cow-Go."
