While the nation celebrates the most significant of musical anniversaries this month, fans in the Region also have the opportunity to mark The Beatles' 50th anniversary of coming to America in a grand way.
There are Beatles tributes and then there is American English. The latter is unique in that they performed for more than 50,000 rabid Fab Four fans in Liverpool itself and were the only band other than the Beatles themselves to be handled by original Sixties Beatles promoter Sam Leach.
Saw American English with my handicapped daughter Lauren. I can't tell you what it meant to her when they dedicated a song to her. They also gave her a few guitar picks and took a picture with her.
