HAMMOND | A newly completed pedestrian and bike trail bridge symbolizes the benefits of cooperation between Hammond and Munster, officials of both municipalities said Wednesday.
Warm Sunday mornings usually find Bob Huffman riding his bicycle from his Munster home to the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Merrillville, to meet his wife, Chris, for breakfast.
Bob Huffman bikes through the region weekly. The 69-year-old Munster resident uses local bike trails to ride to Glenwood and Merrillville to meet his wife for breakfast.
