PORTER | Fire Chief Lewis Craig told members of the Town Council on Tuesday that Porter County Emergency Management Agency director Russell Shirley had notified the town that the county will no longer maintain the town’s tornado sirens, despite an agreement to do so.
You'd think we wouldn't have to remind people to flush human wastes and throw other trash into the appropriate receptacle, but there is too much evidence that people in Porter, and surely elsewhere, are clogging the sewers.
PORTER | When public work crews in Porter hear of a clog, they put on the equipment, get into the trenches, and do the job -- even if it means being exposed to hazardous germs or being stuck by a hypodermic needle.
