When Mark Pfleger and his partner Jim Kershner first saw Beech Run, they knew it was for them. "It had an unbelievable location, nestled on a hill," says Pfleger. "It was built in 1983, but it has qualities that make it appear to have been here a hundred years."

The kitchen was modernized with new countertops, fixtures and appliances. A floor to ceiling bookshelf was installed in the kitchen to hold Jim Kershner's cookbook collection--and a collection of old roosters once belonging to his grandmother.

Behind the home, a large wooden deck houses a swimming pool. "We're a good distance from the lake," explains Mark Pfleger, "so on hot days it's nice."
