LOWELL | The redesign and subsequent construction of the town's most dangerous intersection at Ind. 2 and Burr Street has inadvertently created new safety issues, Police Chief John Shelhart said.

SCHERERVILLE | A section of Burr Street between U.S. 30 and 73rd Avenue/Joliet Street will be closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to replace a failing drainage culvert just north of 75th Avenue.
