The entrance to the Pullman factory at 610 111th St. in Chicago. Tours are offered twice a month and the last tour of the season will be at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 3. George Pullman opened the factory in 1881 as the Pullman Palace Car Co. The last rail sleeper car was built in 1983, when it closed.
