Work is continuing on the Joliet Street Centier Bank branch in downtown Crown Point. Plans are to build a new bank with a smaller footprint in place of the existing structure. The branch is open for business during the construction, with a move into the new building planned for November.

Christmas Eve robber strikes Centier Bank branch in M'ville

Police check out a car Friday that was used in the robbery of a Centier Bank branch at 83rd and Broadway in Merrillville. The car was reported as stolen prior to the robbery and was abandoned in the 1400 block of 82nd Place in Merrillville. An unidentified person robbed the branch Friday morning.
